Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:10-14 NKJV)
In this season let us share the same “the good tidings of great joy” with all who will listen. The angels on that night announced neither peace on earth among men nor the hope of goodwill between men. They proclaimed the glory of God at coming of His promised Savior who offers peace between God and man, and demonstrates the goodwill of God towards men.
…having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-11 NKJV)
